Financial Disclosures for Transfers of Value

Techdow Pharma England Ltd (Techdow) is committed to supporting the safe and effective use of Inhixa® (enoxaparin sodium) through the provision of training, educational resources, and practical support for healthcare professionals.
The purpose of this support is to help healthcare professionals develop confidence and competence in the appropriate use of Inhixa®, including measures to support the reduction of needlestick injuries and to provide education on correct administration techniques. Training may also support healthcare professionals who are responsible for educating patients on the use of Inhixa®. Techdow personnel do not have direct contact with patients.
Training may be delivered through a combination of face-to-face and online learning formats, including access to a distance-learning platform where appropriate.
All training and support provided by Techdow is intended solely to support patient care and the safe and effective use of Inhixa®. Such support is not intended to encourage, induce, or reward the prescription, recommendation, purchase, supply, administration, or use of Inhixa®. All activities are conducted in a manner that is proportionate, clinically appropriate, and consistent with the requirements of the ABPI Code of Practice.

Transfers of Value

There is no charge to NHS organisations for training and support provided by Techdow. However, in accordance with transparency requirements, Techdow will be required to publicly disclose certain Transfers of Value (ToVs) provided to healthcare organisations.
A Transfer of Value is a payment or non-monetary benefit provided directly or indirectly by Techdow to a healthcare professional or healthcare organisation.
Where applicable, Transfers of Value associated with the provision of training and support will include the following:
  • Onsite Training
    1. Direct training provided by Techdow staff members is a fixed cost already paid by Techdow and as such, will not be declared as a transfer of value.
    2. Where it is necessary to employ third-party individuals as trainers, this will be declared as a transfer of value to the NHS body being supported, calculated at £500 per trainer per day.
  • Online training
    1. Annual calculation of the cost of operating the distance learning portal, divided by the number of secondary care entities using Inhixa® as their primary LMWH. Secondary care entities are defined as English Trusts and devolved equivalents.
    2. An equal transfer of value figure will therefore be generated for each secondary care entity.
  • Educational and Support Materials
    1. Techdow may provide educational and training materials that support the safe and effective use of Inhixa®, including demonstration devices such as placebo syringes and training aids.
    2. The provision of such materials may be recorded and, where required under transparency obligations, disclosed as a Transfer of Value to the receiving healthcare organisation.
  • Safety Support Items
    1. In certain circumstances, and where clinically appropriate, Techdow may provide or support items intended to facilitate the safe administration and disposal of injectable medicines, such as sharps disposal containers.
    2. Any such support is subject to internal review and approval processes and will be disclosed as a Transfer of Value where applicable.
  • Other Organisational Support
    1. Occasionally, additional support may be provided to healthcare organisations where there is a legitimate clinical or operational need and where such support complies with applicable regulations, company procedures, and the ABPI Code of Practice. Where relevant, this support will be subject to public disclosure requirements.

Techdow publishes annual disclosures of Transfers of Value in accordance with applicable transparency requirements and industry standards. Techdow publishes a single annual report covering Transfers of Value made to healthcare professionals and healthcare organisations across the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, either directly or on behalf of Techdow.
Disclosures are published on the Techdow website by June of the year following the reporting period and will include:
  • The name of the healthcare organisation receiving the support.
  • The nature of the support provided.
  • The associated Transfer of Value amount, where applicable.

Techdow is committed to maintaining high standards of integrity, transparency, and compliance in all interactions with healthcare organisations and healthcare professionals.
